What a great question to ask, "How to Use the Acupressure Mat Australia?" If you are new to the Acupressure Mat experience, it may feel a little uncomfortable to have thousands of points pressing into your skin and you may feel some initial pricking sensation during the very first few minutes on the areas being treated.  But all pain or discomfort is quickly replaced by a pleasant feeling of relaxation. We recommend wearing a t-shirt or placing a towel or sheet down first. This will decrease the intensity of each point to your body. As you gain more experience, you will be able to use the mat directly on your bare skin, which is where you will get the most benefits from. 

Place the mat on a flat surface like the floor, couch or bed. To make yourself more comfortable you can place a yoga mat or rug underneath for more cushioning. If you still require a form of comfort or support, try using pillows or a cushion for your head or legs. Lie down with your back on the mat and the pillow supporting your neck. Then bend your knees, keeping your feet flat on the floor. This will increase contact between the mat and your lower back, but you can stretch your legs out if that's more comfortable. 

Dr. Kez Acupressure Mat Australia Recommendations

It is recommended that you start with a minimum of 10 minutes and increase the time by 5 minutes with each use until you reach 30-40 minutes.  Of course, if you can handle more at the beginning, go for it! The longer you lay on the mat, the longer your body has to gain all the benefits.  If you fall asleep, that is A-OK!  Just remove the mat when you wake up. It is safe to use for longer periods.

You may find that after use, your skin has little tiny impressions from the spikes.  If you want to play dot-to-dot with them, you will only have about 45-90 minutes before they fade, depending on your skin and the amount of time spent on the mat. 

Your skin may become slightly red after use due to the increased blood circulation which will fade after about 30-60 minutes.

Hi Dr Kez I was very impressed with how quick it got to me from order to receival was within a few days,the mat is awsome I havnt had it long so im still to have a good enough time on it,you really can feel the points in the mat so yes if your sensitive you need to put a towel on it or a shirt at the very least that saying it hurts so good comes in mind when laying on it,it hurts but damn it feel good if that makes sense.All in all a great experience great quality mat and im very happy with it.Regards Michelle Preece
