Breaking the Chains of Headaches and Migraines: A Journey to Liberation
Headaches and migraines are not just physical ailments; they're silent saboteurs, stealthily undermining our ability to live fully and authentically. They puncture our plans, steal our joy, and imprison us in a cycle of pain that seems never-ending.
But the impact doesn't end there. Headaches and migraines extend their reach, infiltrating the very fabric of our familial bonds. They transform us from present parents, partners, and siblings into mere shadows of ourselves, struggling to fulfil our roles amidst the relentless onslaught of pain. Our loved ones bear witness to our silent suffering, feeling helpless as they watch us endure.
It's a cruel irony that stress, often a byproduct of our hectic lives, can serve as both the trigger and perpetuator of headaches. The pressure mounts as we navigate the demands of work, relationships, and personal aspirations, each stressor tightening the already taut strings of our muscles. And thus, the vicious cycle begins – the more stress we experience the tighter our muscles become, the tighter our muscles are, the less blood that flows up to our head, this lack of blood flow triggers a headache, the headaches then adds to our stress.
Central to this cycle is the silent tension that grips our shoulders, neck, jaw, and scalp like an invisible vice. It's here, in the knots and constrictions of muscle fibres, that the seeds of our pain are sown. These tense muscles prevent the adequate flow of oxygen and nutrient rich blood reaching one of the most important organs in our body, our brain. Just like a tourniquet left on your arm would become painful, the same happens with tight muscles preventing blood flowing to the head. Never fear, just as the source of our agony lies within, so too does the key to our liberation.
Picture a world where relief is not just a distant dream but a tangible reality within reach. Imagine a solution that doesn't involve constantly popping pills, which is only a band-aid effect, as it simply interferes with the pain signals experienced by the body, rather than addressing the root cause of the tense and tight muscle preventing adequate blood flow. It’s time to do away with temporary fixes and instead empower you to reclaim control over your own body and eradicate this problem at the source! Sounds like heaven, doesn’t it? Read on…
Enter the Knight in shining armour on his white horse, otherwise known in clinical practice as the premium vacuum cupping set – a simple yet powerful tool for releasing the grip of muscle tension. With its suction ability, it draws stagnant blood and toxins to the surface, providing instant relief from the tightness that plagues us. As the cups draw the top layer of muscle away from it’s underlying companion, it creates space where there was once an adhesion between muscle layers, allowing oxygen-rich blood to flow freely once more to all of the muscles involve. This also allows the vessels in the vicinity to move blood freely beyond, this once tight junction, to service the head and brain. Blood flowing freely, means less, or even no more, headaches!
To further enhance the blood flow effect to the head and scalp area, we have invented an acupressure hat that applies spikes to the scalp and neck region, to demand circulation right where it is needed the most for both migraine and headaches sufferers. The acupressure hat also has two additional spiky pads that can be placed under the jaw strap to increase the blood supply to the jaw muscles, which is brilliant for people who get headaches from jaw clenching and bruxism. Simply sitting with this hat on for 10 minutes is usually all that is needed for the blood to flow through to the head and supply the much needed burst of oxygen and nutrition that is required to stop the headache all together. One of the most promising things we have witnessed in the members of our community that have been using the acupressure hat for their ongoing headaches, is the fact that since using the hat they experience headaches less and less frequently, and in many cases they are eradicated all together. This makes a lot of sense as the regular ongoing supply of extra blood flow means the major cause of headache, lack of blood flow, no longer exists.
But the journey to freedom doesn't end there. To truly break free from the chains of headaches and migraines, we must address the root cause of our these tight muscles – stress. It's a multifaceted beast, but armed with the right tools, we can tame it. Stress comes in many forms like financial pressure, relationship issues, family drama, ill-health, just to name a few. What you may not have thought about, however, is how sitting in the same positions, and doing the same thing day in and day out, can lead to physical stresses that can also tighten our neck muscles resulting in a lack of blood flow to your head, that can lead to chronic headaches. Being mindful of good ergonomics can help prevent the return of these tight muscles, so that we can break the cycle completely!
In a nut shell, whatever you expect your body to do all day, go home and do the complete opposite. For example, when I am in clinical practice I am leaning over my patients all day, resulting in rounded shoulders and a bent lower back, when I get home I lay with my acupressure pillow down my spine and my arms open in the crucifix position to open up my chest, increase blood flow and stretch all of my tight muscles that I have inadvertently been shortening all day. It’s so relieving. If you spend time at your desk all day, or cleaning, cooking, gardening or using tools, the same exercise would be extremely helpful for you to prevent stress build up due to stagnant postures. If you do spend a lot of time at your computer, check out this Facebook video highlighting the best ergonomics to prevent physical stress.
Yet, even as we embark on this journey to wellness, we must not overlook the importance of hydration. Water, our most precious ally in the fight against headaches, plays a crucial role in flushing out toxins and waste products from our bodies. After using the cupping set and acupressure hat, it becomes even more vital, as increased blood flow accelerates the removal of lactic acid – the byproduct of muscle movement – from our systems. If we continue to flush our body with water, the lactic acid and other toxins, are excreted from our body via the urinary system. Lactic acid left in the circulatory system can, in and of its own, trigger headaches and feelings of fatigue, if it remains there.
So, let us raise a glass to liberation – to breaking free from the shackles of pain and reclaiming our lives. Together, armed with compassion, understanding, and the tools of healing, we can emerge victorious in the battle against headaches and migraines. Imagine a life where you no longer have to worry about committing to catching up for a social gathering for fear of a dreaded headache or migraine stealing the opportunity from you at the last minute. We all deserve to live a life without being sidelined by headaches and migraines, so why not try some of these natural alternatives to break free from this cycle and take back control of your health.
